Wisconsin Library Heritage Center

Foundation
The Wisconsin Library Heritage Center (WLHC) is a program of the Wisconsin Library Association Foundation (WLAF) it was established for the following purposes:
• To promote an understanding and appreciation of the history of libraries and
librarianship in Wisconsin by the general public and the Wisconsin library
community.
• To promote the preservation of artifacts and archives which contribute to an
understanding and appreciation of Wisconsin’s library heritage.
• To promote research and publishing which contribute to an understanding and
appreciation of Wisconsin’s library heritage.
The WLHC was established on March 19, 2008 by action of the WLAF Board based on a report submitted by the WLHC Steering Committee chaired by Larry T. Nix.
This website is the temporary home of the WLHC website. Eventually it will become part of the Campaign for Wisconsin Libraries website.
The links below should be considered preliminary components of the Wisconsin Library Heritage Center.
